A devastating gas explosion has rocked the Liushenyu coal mine in Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province, leaving the community in shock. 😔 According to the local emergency management bureau, the tragedy has claimed at least 90 lives, with nine others still unaccounted for.
The incident occurred this past Friday, sparking an immediate and massive response. To tackle the crisis, provincial authorities have deployed 755 personnel, including brave rescuers and medical staff, to the site. But they aren't alone—the Ministry of Emergency Management has also sent in six national mine emergency rescue teams, bringing 345 specialists and high-tech equipment to the Chinese mainland site to help find those still missing. 🚒💪
The human toll is heavy. A total of 123 people have been rushed to hospitals for treatment; while two remain in critical condition and two others are serious, 33 workers have thankfully been able to return home to their families.
To ensure the highest level of care, the National Health Commission dispatched a team of multidisciplinary medical experts to Shanxi Province to provide emergency treatment. Meanwhile, the State Council has stepped in, sending an investigation team that has vowed to thoroughly and strictly investigate the cause of the explosion. 🔍
