Hearts are heavy today as rescue teams work tirelessly in Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province, on the Chinese mainland, following a serious gas explosion at the Liushenyu Coal Mine. 😔
The incident happened on Friday evening, May 22, at 7:29 p.m., while 247 miners were working deep underground. As of Saturday morning, May 23, there is some relief as 201 people have already been safely brought back to the surface. 🛡️
However, the mission is far from over. Emergency responders are currently racing against time to reach the remaining miners who are still trapped. The energy on the ground is intense as teams use every resource available to ensure everyone is brought home safely. ⏳
