Southern Xinjiang’s First High-Altitude Wind Farm Powers Up ⚡🌬️

Exciting news from Southern Xinjiang! The region's first wind power project has officially begun operations, marking a significant milestone in renewable energy. Located in Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture at an impressive average altitude of 3,100 meters, this wind farm sits high on the Pamir Plateau in Wuqia County.

As the westernmost wind farm in China, this project showcases a major leap in high-altitude wind energy technology. The initial phase features 20 turbines, which are projected to generate approximately 270 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity each year. This clean energy will not only power the local region but also pave the way for future high-altitude, low-wind-speed wind farms.

Once fully operational with all 38 turbines, the wind farm's total capacity will reach an impressive 200,000 kilowatts. This development not only contributes to sustainable energy goals but also provides valuable experience for building similar projects in challenging environments. 🌍💨🔋
