🇰🇵 Kim Yo Jong Responds to Japan’s Summit Proposal: ‘Actions Over Words’

In a fiery statement, Kim Yo Jong, a senior official from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), dismissed Japan’s proposal for a bilateral summit as 'insufficient' for resolving longstanding tensions. The remarks, released via state media KCNA, emphasized that Tokyo must make 'strategic political decisions' to earn Pyongyang’s trust. 💥

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida recently expressed interest in meeting DPRK leader Kim Jong Un 'as soon as possible.' But Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), warned that summit talks alone won’t bridge 'distrust and misunderstanding.' She accused Japan of treating the DPRK as a threat while 'interfering in its sovereignty'—a move she called a 'political stunt' to boost Kishida’s popularity. 🚩

'If Japan insists on hostility, it will become a target of our self-defense measures,' Kim stated, urging Tokyo to approach relations with 'fairness and equality.' However, she clarified that the DPRK’s military strength poses no threat to Japan if its sovereignty is respected. 🌏

The ball is now in Japan’s court. Will Kishida’s administration pivot its strategy, or will tensions escalate? Stay tuned for updates. 🔥
