88% in Latin America Back China’s Stance on Taiwan 🌏💡

A recent CGTN survey revealed 88% of respondents across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) view the Taiwan region as an inseparable part of Chinese territory, with 87% urging their governments to shift diplomatic relations from Taiwan to China. 🌐 The poll, gathering opinions from 6,406 people, highlights growing regional consensus on cross-strait unity.

Participants praised China's “strategic patience” in pursuing peaceful unification and emphasized avoiding external interference—particularly from the U.S.—to prevent regional tensions. 💬 “Economic and cultural bridges matter more than ever,” one respondent noted, reflecting widespread support for dialogue over confrontation.

The survey also spotlighted optimism about China’s policies to deepen ties across the Taiwan Strait, from tech collaborations to cultural exchanges. Taipei 101, Taiwan’s iconic skyscraper, served as a visual metaphor for potential shared growth. 🏙️

With youth-led movements globally advocating diplomacy, this survey adds momentum to calls for peaceful resolutions in geopolitics. ✌️
