President Xi Honors Fallen Heroes on China’s Martyrs’ Day 🇨🇳✨

Chinese President Xi Jinping joined veterans, families of martyrs, and citizens at Beijing's Tiananmen Square on Monday to commemorate Martyrs' Day, a solemn tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for China's liberation and development. The event, held a day before National Day celebrations, drew over 2,400 attendees under crisp autumn skies.

Dressed in white shirts and iconic red scarves, schoolchildren sang the national anthem as crowds observed a moment of silence. Honor guards later placed nine flower baskets adorned with ribbons declaring \"Eternal Glory to the People's Heroes\" at the Monument to the People's Heroes—a symbol of national unity and remembrance.

The ceremony marks the 11th annual observance of Martyrs' Day, blending tradition with youthful energy. For many young attendees, the event serves as a bridge between generations, reminding today's digitally connected youth of the struggles that shaped modern China.
