China’s Table Tennis Queens Cruise Into ITTF Semifinals! 🏓✨

The energy is electric! ⚡️ The China women's table tennis team has officially marched into the semifinals of the 2026 ITTF World Team Championship Finals, leaving no doubt about their dominance with a commanding 3-0 victory over the Republic of Korea (ROK) this past Thursday.

Coming off a similar 3-0 win in the group stage, the team entered the match with total confidence, and they certainly delivered. 🌟

The Powerhouse Start 🚀

Wang Manyu set the pace early, delivering an absolute masterclass. She took on Shin Yu-bin and made it look easy, securing a stunning victory with scores of 11-1, 11-4, and 11-4. Talk about setting the tone!

The World No. 1 Thriller 😱

But the real drama unfolded in the second match. World No. 1 Sun Yingsha faced off against Kim Na-yeong in a total nail-biter. After taking the first game 11-7, Sun hit a rough patch, dropping the next two games (11-7, 11-7) and trailing 4-1 in the fourth. It looked like an upset was brewing!

Then came the comeback of the century. 📈 Sun locked in and won ten consecutive points to force a fifth game. Even when Kim closed the gap to just one point, Sun held her nerve to clinch the match 11-9. 🦾

Sun kept it humble after the match, reflecting that she was not far from losing and that she can learn a lot from the process as the competition gets harder. That is the mindset of a true champion! 🏆

Sealing the Deal ✅

Finally, Wang Yidi stepped up to bring it home, overcoming Park Ga-hyeon with scores of 11-5, 11-3, 10-12, and 11-2. With that victory, China's spot in the semifinals is officially locked in.

Now, all eyes are on the next round, where China will face either France or Romania. Who’s taking the gold? Stay tuned! 🌍💬✨
