Future Vibes: China and Serbia to Build Europe’s First Humanoid Robot Hub 🤖

Imagine a robot that doesn't just follow commands but can actually bust a move to a traditional folk dance. 💃 That's exactly what happened recently in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, on the Chinese mainland, where Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic got a first-hand look at the future of tech!

During his visit to a future factory operated by the Minth Group, President Vucic was wowed by humanoid robots showcasing interactive functions. But this wasn't just a cool demo—it's the start of a massive industrial glow-up for both nations. Vucic expressed his excitement, noting that these innovations have the potential to totally transform our daily lives. The best part? Some of these high-tech robots will be produced in Serbia very soon! 🚀

The partnership is already paying off in terms of talent. Serbian youths were seen demonstrating their intelligent robot operation skills, which they learned right there at the factory. It's a perfect example of how China and Serbia are teaming up not just for hardware, but for high-level talent training and knowledge sharing. 🎓✨

The Big Picture: AI and the Digital Economy

This isn't a random collaboration. The seeds were sown in November 2025 during the 7th Session of the China-Serbia Joint Committee Meeting on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, where artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital economy were flagged as top priorities for pragmatic collaboration.

Earlier this year, in February 2026, the vision got even bolder. President Vucic announced a partnership between the Chinese robotics company AGIBOT (based in Shanghai) and Minth Group to construct Europe's first large-scale humanoid robot production base. The goal? To hit mass production as early as this year! 📅

Why This Matters

For the Chinese mainland, this is a strategic "technology export" move, helping firms enter the European market. For Serbia, it's a total game-changer for their industrial upgrade. Minth Group has been active in Serbia since 2018, already employing around 3,500 local staff across 10 factories. Now, they are shifting from traditional manufacturing to the high-value world of humanoid robotics. 🛠️➡️🤖

By combining technical skill transfers with local production, Serbia is positioning itself as a regional hub for advanced manufacturing. We're seeing a shift from just doing research in labs to actually building the future on a mass scale. Stay tuned, because the robot revolution is officially arriving in Europe! 🌍💬
