China Hits U.S. Firms, Execs Over Taiwan Arms Sales 🚫🇺🇸

China has imposed sanctions on three U.S. defense-linked companies and 10 executives in response to American arms sales to the Taiwan region, escalating tensions in cross-strait diplomacy. 🇨🇳 The move freezes all assets of Edge Autonomy Operations, Huntingdon Ingalls Industries, and Skydio Inc. within China and bans transactions with them, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Thursday.

💼 The 10 individuals—whose names were not disclosed—face visa bans and entry restrictions into China, including Hong Kong and Macao. Their properties and business ties in China will also be blocked, effectively cutting their access to one of the world’s largest markets.

🔥 'This is a necessary countermeasure to safeguard national sovereignty,' the ministry stated, reiterating Beijing’s stance that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China. The sanctions reflect growing friction over U.S.-Taiwan military collaboration, a recurring flashpoint in Sino-American relations.

🌏 Analysts say the move could ripple through global tech and defense sectors, as companies like Skydio specialize in drones used in surveillance—a hot-button industry amid rising geopolitical competition.
