🚨 It was supposed to be a night of fun under the stars at Arcadia Lake, but a mass shooting turned the campground into a scene of chaos.
According to local police, at least 10 people were rushed to area hospitals after multiple shots were fired at a party of young people near the lake on Sunday night. Edmond city police spokesperson Emily Ward confirmed the tally, warning that “there will be more victim numbers coming in.”
The lake, about 21 kilometers north of Oklahoma City in Edmond, is a popular spot for picnicking, camping, fishing and water sports. The incident happened during what appeared to be a large gathering, and authorities say they are still piecing together what triggered the violence.
“We are working closely with all agencies to secure the area and provide immediate support to the injured,” Ward said in a statement.
No arrests have been reported yet, and investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward. 🚔
