🚨 On Monday afternoon, Dubai and Sharjah residents were startled when an emergency missile alert flashed on their phones. The UAE's Ministry of Interior urged people to 'immediately seek a safe place in the nearest secure building, stay away from windows, doors and open areas, and await further instructions.'
The warning, the first emergency alert in about a month, lasted only a short while before the ministry lifted it. 'We reassure you that the situation is currently safe,' the ministry said, without revealing the source of the reported threat.
Despite the brief scare, the quick response highlighted the authorities' vigilance and readiness. Residents were able to return to their normal routine shortly after the all‑clear was issued.
