A New Chapter (Again!) for Uganda 🇺🇬
Big things happened in Kampala this week! President Yoweri Museveni has officially been sworn in for his seventh term as the leader of Uganda. The 81-year-old leader took his oath of office at the iconic Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, marking another major milestone in his long political journey. ✨
The atmosphere in the capital was intense. With armored vehicles and a heavy police presence on the streets, security was dialed up to the max to make sure everything went smoothly. Despite the tight security, thousands of Ugandans showed up to witness the ceremony, alongside a star-studded list of regional leaders from members of the African community, including presidents from Burundi, Togo, the DRC, Tanzania, Somalia, Gabon, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and South Sudan. 🌍
