Big moves for global education happened in Beijing this Tuesday! 🌍 Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping and a dedicated UNESCO special envoy, met with the new director-general of UNESCO, Khaled El-Enany, to talk about one of the most important goals of our time: getting more girls and women into classrooms worldwide. 📚✨

As a special envoy for the advancement of girls' and women's education, Peng started the meeting by congratulating El-Enany on his election. She gave a huge shout-out to UNESCO for the incredible work they do in breaking down barriers to education for women across the globe. 💬

Peng also shared some inspiring updates on how education for girls and women has been evolving and improving within the Chinese mainland. She made it clear that she's all in—ready to keep rocking her role as a special envoy, strengthening ties with UNESCO, and pushing for progress so that every girl, regardless of where she is, has the chance to learn and grow. 🚀

Director-General El-Enany didn't hold back the praise! He spoke highly of Peng's outstanding contributions and noted that UNESCO is super grateful for the invaluable support provided by the Chinese mainland. He expressed a strong readiness to deepen exchanges and cooperation to make sure girls' and women's education continues to thrive globally. 🤝🌟
