Emotions ran high in Shenyang, northeast China, as the remains of 122 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs—repatriated from the Republic of Korea (ROK)—were finally laid to rest. The ceremony, attended by officials, veterans, and families, marked the 12th such repatriation since 2014, honoring those who sacrificed their lives during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953).
Under gray skies, crowds lined the streets, holding flowers and photos of the fallen. 🕊️ 'These heroes are finally home,' said one tearful attendee. The event highlighted decades of cross-border cooperation between China and the ROK to identify and return remains, a gesture of peace amid historical tensions.
